Florida Athletes head west to the 40th Annual Great Southwest Classic - Great Southwest Classic 2015Published by
Several of Florida's most accomplished athletes are expected to compete this weekend in the 40th Annual Great Southwest Classic being held in Albuquerque, New Mexico, June 4th - June 6th on the campus of the University of New Mexico.
Entries inlude:
Girls 100m/300m Hurdles - Colorado transplant, State Champion and Golden South Meet MVP, Ashley Miller will compete after recently announcing she will attend the University of Texas in the Fall.
Girls 200m - Oak Ridge senior, Florida signee and Girls State 400m Champion Sharrika Barnett, Boyd Anderson's S'Kaydrah Woods, and American's Lenysse Dyer.
Girls 400m - Sharrika Barnett, Boyd Anderson's Denise Spann, Boyd Anderson's Chyna-Joi Staton, American's Lenysse Dyer.
Girls 800 - North Broward Prep's Katie Pinnell.
Boys 100m - 3A State Champion and Golden South Dream 100 Qualifier, University of Illinois signee, Devin Quinn.
Boys 200m - Dr Phillips Jamari Smith, Devin Quinn.
Boys 400m - University of Tennessee signee, 4A State Champion Ari Cogdell, Baron Collier 3A State Champion Brandon Cachon, Hallandale senior and Nebraska signee Oliver Alexandre, and Jamari Smith.
Boys Long Jump/Triple Jump - Bradenton's Miguel Van Assen.
